Tolleson Union High School District Board – Corina Madruga is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters and is a long-time west valley resident currently residing in Tolleson, AZ. Growing up, Corina was faced with many challenges including entering the work force at the age of 14, becoming a young mother at the age of 17, and experienced financial hardships. Because of these challenges, Corina not only developed a strong work ethic but those experiences sparked her passion for community and to assist others facing similar challenges.
As an adult learner, Corina has earned a Human Resources Certificate, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and recently graduated from the Valle del Sol Hispanic Leadership Institute-West. Her professional career has spanned over 20 years as a public sector employee supporting functions that directly impact the community.
Corina’s passion for the livelihood of the district and community is the reason she has decided to run for the Tolleson Union High School Governing Board. Corina is committed to:
Not settling for less to ensure students always come first.
HIGH ACADEMIC EXPECTATIONS:
Working collectively with the students, parents, educators, the district and board, and community to raise academic expectations.
