Susan Bickel has been a co-chair of the Pima County Democratic PC Development Committee for the past 3 years. She previously served as the 2nd Vice-Chair of the Pima County Democratic Party (PCDP) and represented the Democrats of Oro Valley on the PCDP Executive Council. An elected PC, she is a State Committee member from LD 9.
After spending almost 40 years living and working as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in a number of states, she and her husband Brian moved back to her home town of Douglas in 2009. Susan became increasingly alarmed as the Arizona state legislature passed bill after bill, dividing and destroying the Arizona where she grew up. Joining the 2010 campaign of Pat Fleming for Senate (LD 14), Pat, a progressive AZ List trained candidate, led by example to show how important it is to fight for our values and make a difference in people’s lives.
After moving to Tucson in 2013, Susan joined forces with the newly formed PC Development Committee. Susan and co-chairs Mariana Spier and Barbara Tellman, have worked to educate, motivate and support our PCs and volunteers in the effort take back our state legislature and Congress.
