Khaya was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and grew up in South Africa, Mozambique and and Indianapolis, Indiana. He attends Chapman University in Anaheim, California and is majoring in Political Science, and studying Spanish as a minor. He hopes to work in Foreign Service as an Ambassador or Diplomat and has a love of travelling, and studying languages. Khaya will be studying at the University of Sydney, Australia next semester to study comparative politics between the United States and Australia. Khaya is an intern with Arizona List and the Stephanie Stahl Hamilton campaign. He is a proud advocate for reproductive, LGBT, and women’s rights. And as an indigenous South African, Khaya is also very passionate about diverse intercultural connections, and advocating for the rights of Black/Indigenous/Persons of Colour (BIPOC).
