Dana Walton was born and raised in Casper, WY. A product of Wyoming public schools, she recognized early on the importance of electing Democrats and progressives to public office. While she was studying at the University of Wyoming, she became an active member of the UW Young Democrats, which led her to join the congressional campaign of Gary Trauner, Democrat for Wyoming’s lone congressional seat, while still a college undergrad.
For the past eight years, she has worked on multiple campaigns and for state Democratic parties throughout the western US. In 2013, she came to Arizona and served as the Executive Director of Arizona List. From there she moved on to create a strong and powerful legislative campaign program for Arizona together with visionary legislators. Whether she was helping run a caucus program in Montana, organizing legislative outreach for AFSCME or literally building the ADLCC from the ground up, Dana has been a consistent champion and advocate for progressive values.
