Veronica Malone

Running for LD22 State House.

Veronica Malone served two terms on the Avondale City Council, beginning in January 2017 and concluding in December 2024 due to term limits. She served as Vice Mayor from January 2021 through December 2022.

During her tenure, Veronica represented the City of Avondale on numerous boards and committees, including the Luke West Valley Council, Avondale Contributions Assistance Review Committee, and the National League of Cities (NLC). Her work with NLC included service on the Community and Economic Development Committee and the Council on Youth, Education, and Families. She also served on the Arizona League of Cities and Towns Policy Committees on Public Safety, Military Affairs and Courts, as well as Neighborhoods, Sustainability, and Quality of Life. Veronica is a member of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, Hispanic Elected Local Officials, and Women in Municipal Government.

Veronica has worked in education for over 19 years and currently serves as a Special Project Technician with the Littleton Elementary School District. She remains actively engaged in her community and currently serves as Chair of the Southwest Dems Club, encouraging civic engagement and supporting Democratic candidates.
