Running for Flagstaff City Council
Miranda Sweet is currently serving a 4-year term on the Flagstaff City Council and is a small business owner. Miranda began her political career in 2020 when elected to the Flagstaff City Council. Prior to running for office Miranda taught elementary education and eventually followed her dream and opened a fashion boutique. For 23 years Miranda has owned and operated Rainbow’s End in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. Miranda finds joy in following her passion for locally owned business while serving her community. Currently, Miranda serves on council and has various other roles including serving on the Mountain Line Board, Vice Chair of Metro Plan, Northern Arizona Council of Governments board member, Northern Arizona Municipal Water Users Association board member, liaison to the Water Commission and the Beautification and Public Art Commission. In 2023, Miranda was nominated for an Athena Award. She loves to mentor young adults in workforce development and works with high school students in fashion and merchandise design.Â
