Gloria Solorio

Running for Avondale City Council

Gloria Solorio was appointed to the City Council in January 2022. Gloria has been actively involved in the city and has served on several boards and commissions: Planning and Zoning, Neighborhood and Family Services, Volunteer Firefighter Pension Board and the Board of Adjustment. She has been a participant in the Avondale Citizens Police Academy and is a local graduate of the Hispanic Leadership Institute (HLI) West. Gloria Solorio is a member of the Council Subcommittee for Boards and Commissions and is a member of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials. She also serves as a member of the National League of Cities (NLC) Women in Municipal Government Caucus, NLC Transportation and Infrastructure Services Federal Advocacy Committee, and as Co-chair of the NLC Council on Youth, Education, and Families.
