Casey Clowes currently serves on the Salt River Project District Board in At-Large seat 11 and is running for Vice President to ensure we have healthy, sustainable communities across the Valley.
She is a graduate of ASU where she earned a BS in Public Service and Public Policy and a JD from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Casey was a Law and Sustainability Program Scholar and Sustainability Law Student Research Fellow, and completed the Law, Science, and Technology in Environmental and Sustainability Law. She has published on western water law and agricultural solutions to drought.
While working at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Casey represented the public interest to ensure reliable, safe, secure, and economically efficient energy for consumers at a reasonable cost while working with energy industry officials, state commissions, customers, and utilities. She worked on a variety of rate cases, hydro dam licensing, and tribal water rights issues.
She has experience in negotiating multi-year, multi-million-dollar contracts on behalf of her clients and is ready to use the skills she’s built to make sure rate payers get what they need from SRP.
