Barbara Mozdzen

Running for Chandler Unified School Board.

Barb Mozdzen grew up in a suburb of Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  While her fiancé, Tom, completed his Master’s Degree, Barb worked as an RN in Chicago. Following  their marriage, they relocated to Carrollton, TX, where Barb transitioned into an engineering career.  The opportunity to work abroad led them to Munich, Germany, for two years, immersing themselves in  the culture and experiencing international life. In 1988, they returned to the U.S., and chose to settle in  the Chandler School District, attracted by its outstanding schools. While their three children attended CUSD schools from kindergarten through high school graduation,  Barb actively engaged in the school community. Her involvement included volunteering in academic  and athletic programs, fundraising for the Chandler Education Foundation, and leading bond and  override Campaigns. Elected to the CUSD Governing Board in 2008, Barb has been instrumental in developing a long-term  strategic plan for the district. Her approach emphasizes data-driven decision-making to achieve well defined goals. Her dedication to enhancing educational opportunities demonstrates her deep  commitment to both students and the wider community. Barb, the current Board President, continues her advocacy for excellence in education.Â
