Andrea Dalessandro

Andrea Dalessandro has taught elementary, high school, community college and university for over 25 years and is a retired CPA. Since 2008 she has run for the legislature to fight the systemic defunding of public education. She serves as the Ranking Member of the Senate Education (K-12) Committee. She is one of only four legislators to receive an A+ on the Grand Canyon Chapter of Sierra Club’s Report Club in 2019. She is the State Lead for the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators. When the Corporation Commission has meetings in Tucson, she was there to fight for solar and the good paying jobs that the solar industry generates. Senator Dalessandro was named Legislator of the Year by the Arizona Association of Community Health Centers after being nominated by Mariposa Health Center in Santa Cruz County.
