Wenona Benally

Wenona Benally was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2017 to 2019. She is a Harvard Law School graduate with a master’s degree in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Masters of Law from the James E. Rogers College of Law. 

Wenona has been active in her community, both in Tucson and in Northern Arizona supporting Native American women and focusing on four key issues: restoring funding for public schools, strengthening the economy through greater investment in infrastructure and clean energy technologies and increasing funding for Health care, housing and other essential human services. In the legislature, she served on the Land, Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Rules Committees, most prominently working to protect Native lands and people.Â
