Sara Presler was elected Mayor of Flagstaff in 2008, and was re-elected in 2010. Presler received her Bachelor’s degree in history and a minor in English from Northern Arizona University. After earning her Law degree from Michigan State University, she returned back to Flagstaff to serve as a public defense attorney. Presler has had a strong commitment to public service and has served organizations such as, United Way of Northern Arizona, Public Library Story Time, and Coconino County Bar Association.

With her background as an attorney and law teacher, she fights for clean industry, education, and works with nonprofit groups, businesses and elected officials in order to improve the quality of life for her constituents. She has served organizations like the Coconino County Bar Association, City Parks and Recreation Commission, Public Safety Retirement Board and the Foster Care and Child Advocacy.
