Spring 2025 Intern
Valeria Minchan studies Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Law (PPEL) at the University of Arizona. Originally from Peru, she is passionate about law, public policy and social justice, with a focus on human rights and equity. Her work as a legal intern and volunteer in different non-profit organizations, including assisting immigrant communities through the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, has deepened her commitment to advocacy and legal reform. She plans to enter law school and work in the legislature to gain firsthand experience in policy making. In the future, she hopes to return to her native country to create her own political movement dedicated to building a more just and equitable society.
