2026 Spring Intern
I’m Jay Amarillas, a Master of Public Administration student at the University of Arizona in Tucson. I’m interning with Arizona List to expand my understanding of grassroots organization, politics, and activism as well as to have a deeper understanding of how change occurs at the state level. I intend to gain skills from this internship that will help me achieve my long-term objectives of working in public service and eventually running for the state senate. I practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and other martial arts outside of job and school to maintain my physical and mental well-being. One interesting thing about myself is that this past summer, I visited Tokyo, Japan.
