Charlene Mendoza is a native Tucsonan who is the Principal and a teacher at Arizona College Prep Academy, a public charter high school. Charlene graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Latin American Studies and Women’s Studies and earned her MA in Language, Reading and Culture from the University of Arizona.
Passionate about education, equity, agency and choice, Charlene is dedicated to being a civically engaged, outspoken advocate for the issues she cares about including access to health care and education, reproductive rights, and voting. She lives in central Tucson with her husband and two children.
