Cara Coleman

2017 – Jacqueline Adams Service Award

Cara Coleman has supported progressive campaigns in Arizona since her early teenage years when she first developed a desire to meet people in their communities to work on issues affecting them directly. She honed this passion while volunteering in communities in Tanzania, Mexico, post-Katrina Louisiana, on tribal land, and for populations with developmental disabilities.

Professionally, Cara engages voters for pro-choice candidates with tremendous success, boasting a double-digit field victory in one of 2014’s closest Democratic Primaries including a key presence on the Kelli Butler campaign, and most recently serving as Field Director for the Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee’s successful and growing program. Cara is the first Arizona native in her family, the second sibling to dive into Arizona politics and on her 3,473rd reading of the Harry Potter book series.
