Running for Marana Town Council
Sue Ritz has called Marana home since 2007. She and her husband chose Marana for its strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and the sense that people still look out for one another. Sue is a registered professional engineer and mining industry consultant who has spent her career coordinating complex projects, balancing budgets, and working across teams to deliver results. She’s known for asking practical questions and following the data. Sue has worked in the mining industry since 1980 and is one of the first women to work in an underground coal mine.
In the community, Sue has helped collect signatures for the Abortion Access Petition that passed successfully in 2024, and supported nonprofits and Veteran events—because Marana works best when everyone pitches in.
Sue believes that Maranans deserve clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a town government that listens before decisions are made. Sue is running to bring a steady, community-first voice to the Marana Town Council.
