Stephania Lenzi is an experienced public school educator and administrator running for the Tempe Union High School Governing Board in 2026. She brings classroom experience, administrative leadership, and statewide education policy expertise to her work, with a career focused on strengthening public schools and supporting educators and students.

Stephania began her career in education as a middle school English Language Arts teacher in the Alhambra Elementary School District before serving as an instructional coach in the Isaac Elementary School District. Her work has consistently focused on supporting teachers and strengthening classroom instruction through practical, evidence-based strategies.

She later served as Deputy Associate Superintendent at the Arizona Department of Education, where she oversaw professional learning initiatives and supported state and federal programs serving diverse student populations, including multilingual learners and migrant students. Today, Stephania works at ASU’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College as the Director of Career and Professional Experience Services. She partners closely with school districts, including Tempe Union, to prepare future educators through high-quality internships, mentoring, and student-teaching experiences.

Stephania holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as dual bachelor’s degrees in Secondary Education and English Literature, all from ASU. Now, she is running to ensure district decisions are guided by classroom experience, meaningful partnerships & programs, and anchored by a clear focus on what is best for Tempe Union students.
