Rockee Armstrong

Dr. Racquel “Rockee” Armstrong is a former teacher, school administrator, and a current professor of education at ASU running for Arizona State Representative for Legislative District 13 serving Chandler, Sun Lakes, and Gilbert. After winning the Harry S. Truman Scholarship for public service in 2009, Rockee became a public-school teacher. She taught English and Mathematics while also coaching Track & Field, instilling her students with discipline and a drive for excellence. After five years in the classroom, Rockee became a school administrator where she received an award for outstanding achievement from a prominent organization representing local parents. Dr. Armstrong transitioned to higher education after eight years as a K-12 administrator. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching & Learning Innovation where she conducts research to support school leaders all over the country. Rockee holds a BA in Urban Studies-Economics from Wellesley College, a MSEd from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the Fisher College of Business, and a PhD from The Ohio State University.
