Running for Isaac School District Governing Board
I’ve proudly lived in this community for 40 years and have been a homeowner here for 33 years. For the past 23 years, I’ve had the honor of serving on the Isaac School District Governing Board, working closely with families, students, teachers, and staff to strengthen our schools and our community.
During my time serving the district, I’ve focused on delivering real results. I helped establish the Heart of Isaac Resource Center to provide families with essential services and support, expanded before- and after-school tutoring and enrichment programs, improved school safety through upgraded systems and community partnerships, and helped provide technology for students both in the classroom and at home.
I also helped lead a community-driven strategic plan, secured grants for electric school buses and solar energy programs, supported staff wellness initiatives, hosted community COVID vaccination events, and worked to improve district and school performance outcomes. In addition, I helped lead the district’s first affordable housing developments, including Esperanza Terrace and Wild Rose Flats, creating stable housing opportunities for working families. Now, I’m running for Phoenix City Council District 4 to continue this work on a broader level and keep fighting for safer neighborhoods, affordable housing, and stronger communities.
