Naomi Miguel

Running for LD23 State House

Naomi Miguel, Ba’ag Nei’dam O’ks (Eagle Singing Woman), is a member of the Tohono O’odham Nation. She is founder and Chief Executive Officer at O’odham Consulting, L.L.C. Ms. Miguel served as a Presidential appointee as the former Executive Director for the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence and Economic Opportunity for Native Americans and Strengthening Tribal Colleges and Universities.

Ms. Miguel served as the Staff Director for the Subcommittee for Indigenous Peoples of the United States on the House Committee on Natural Resources and in the personal office for Representative Raúl M. Grijalva. Ms. Miguel has campaign experience, has worked in the non-profit sector, and serves as a board member for Native American non-profit organizations. In 2024, Ms. Miguel received an inaugural honorary Cobell Fellowship from the Cobell Scholarship Program. 

Ms. Miguel received a master’s in public administration and policy from American University, and her undergraduate degree in political science from Mount St. Mary’s University, an all-women’s college. She is a proud rez kid from the Chui-Chu village on the Tohono O’odham Nation in Arizona. She is very passionate about women’s rights and uplifting Native students. She enjoys hiking, art, music, spending time with her family & friends.
