Nancy Gutierrez

Nancy Gutierrez has lived most of her life in Arizona. She attended NAU and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a math emphasis. She has lived all over Arizona including Phoenix, Sierra Vista, as a military spouse and teacher, and Tucson since 2007. She and her husband, Andy, have raised their two daughters in Tucson.  Megan recently graduated from the U of A, and Macie will be in the Honors College at NAU in the fall.  She was a volunteer in her daughters’ classrooms and activities and served as President of the Manzanita Elementary FFO.  Nancy has held an Arizona Teaching Credential since 1994 and has been teaching yoga at Tucson High since 2013.  Nancy is a proud member of the Arizona Education Association and a delegate to their annual Delegate Assembly.  She was the Physical Education Department Chair for five years and is currently on the Safety Committee.  Nancy is a certified yoga teacher and has taught at Yoga Oasis since 2009.  In 2018 she served as President of the Tucson NOW Chapter.  Nancy is passionate about public education and will bring her leadership experience and her teacher’s voice to our Legislature.
