Marana Unified School District

Kathryn has been an active leader in the Marana community for 20 years. She has served as the PTF Vice President for Coyote Trail Elementary in the Marana Unified School District for 5 years, as a Girl Scout Leader for 8 years, as a board member with Autism Society of Southern Arizona for 10 years, and as an adult advisor with IORG for 12 years+ promoting character and leadership development for young women in Arizona. Kathryn has built relationships with community leaders across party affiliations. Kathryn was inspired to run for school board by her children: Jo, a recent MUSD graduate, and Jimmy, now at Marana High School. As a product of public schools herself and the proud mom, Kathryn believes in the importance of quality public education for ALL kids in the district through innovation, supporting students and staff, and being open to new ideas. She will work to ensure opportunities for special needs students and for the safety of students, staff, families, and the MUSD community.
