Karen Gresham

Running LD4 State House.

A third-generation Phoenician, Karen has deep roots in the state. She attended public schools in LD 4 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University, earning a BS in Accountancy and minors in Spanish and Communication.  After working as a CPA at Deloitte and Phelps Dodge, she retired from accounting to raise her three sons. 

Since then Karen has spent much of her time volunteering at her sons’ schools, for Planned Parenthood, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  She served on the LD 4 and former LD 28 boards, and advocates for public education and other policy issues at the State and Federal level.  She is also a board member of the Arizona Trail Association, and currently serves as governing board President for the Madison Elementary school district.With Karen in charge, Madison received the Lou Ella Kleinz Excellence in Governance Award in December 2024 which celebrates outstanding educational leadership demonstrated by a board during the year. When in the legislature, Karen will work for public education funding, school safety, and reproductive rights in Arizona.
