Judy Schwiebert is a teacher, a community leader, and a mom with longstanding ties in her district. She taught for 27 years at Cactus and Greenway High Schools and co-founded Theater Works, a northwest valley community theater. She was moved to run for office when she learned that because of the legislature’s failure to invest in our schools, more than 20% of students in Arizona now have no permanent, qualified teacher in their classroom. In her first term in the legislature, Judy has been a strong proponent in the legislature for education, serving on the Education committee and the Appropriations Education subcommittee. She has spoken out against anti-abortion legislation, including floor speeches opposing SB 1457 in 2021 and SB 1164 in 2022, and she continues to advocate for quality healthcare for all Arizonans. As a representative, Judy works to address the issues that are priorities for Arizona families, including properly investing in our schools, fostering good-paying jobs, addressing water and healthcare crises, and protecting our freedom to vote.
