Janeen Connolly

Running for LD8 House.

Representative Janeen Connolly was sworn in as an AZ House member in January of 2025. She represents LD8 (the district that surrounds ASU’s main campus). Prior to running for office, Janeen spent her career at SRP conducting grassroots engagement throughout the state to permit critical infrastructure projects. She retired from SRP Government Relations responsible for rural Arizona city and county relations as well as Chambers of Commerce. Janeen has served as Chair of the Superstition Vista’s Steering Committee, VP of Central Arizona Community College Foundation Board, an Honorary Commander; Luke Air Force Base and as a member of Governor Jan Dee Hull’s Taskforce on Employment for People with Disabilities. In August, Rep. Connolly was uniquely recognized as a Champion by The AZ League of Cities and Towns. As a freshman legislator she sponsored the League housing bill which essentially defeated a bill working to circumnavigate permitting and building codes for new homes. Janeen raised four daughters on her own while earning degrees from MCC and ASU including a master’s in Communication (Advocacy). In her spare time she passionately supports worthy campaigns, hikes the Superstitions, supports a local food pantry and enjoys a tiny cabin at Top of the World.
