Running for Yuma Recorder
A native to Yuma, Arizona, where her fiancé Anthony Sharkey and three dogs Jolene, Dolly Maize reside. Currently, West Region Development Director at Arizona Children Association, board member of the Yuma Regional Partnership Council First Things First, Yuma Crossing National Heritage Board and serving as the chair of Yuma County Board of Trustee of the Libraries. Emilia serves to advocate for our culture and history for our youth. She holds a Master’s in Business and Administration and – leadership from Northern Arizona University and Bachelor in Science of Public Administration health. Emilia is a community philanthropist for sixteen years and volunteers in Yuma Rotary Club and other organizations to support youth in their mission, an enthusiastic advocate for early childhood education and youth development for our next leaders.
