Running for LD22 State House
Betsy is the proud daughter of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate, and her life’s work is rooted in public service. She has worked with organizations focused on expanding college and career access, and currently works at an immigration law firm. Her experience in public education and legal services has given her firsthand insight into the barriers students and working families face, strengthening her commitment to advocacy and community-centered leadership.
Betsy began her higher education journey at Glendale Community College, graduating in 2019 before transferring to Arizona State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Public Policy (Law and Policy). During her time within the Maricopa County Community College District, Betsy participated in the Student Public Policy Forum and Global Scholars Distinction Program, which deepened her understanding of policymaking at a local, federal, and global level.
Betsy is running for the Arizona State House of Representatives to empower historically underrepresented voices. Her campaign, led by young people and rooted in grassroots organizing, reflects her belief in people-powered movements, and her commitment to ensuring every family has access to opportunity, resources, and a seat at the table.
