Dr. Michaels, LLC manager/owner has acted as the primary contact in Sedona and focused on facilitation, strategy and logistics to School Districts across the state . Dr. Michaels is a published author in the area of social policy and her work continues to be used as the definitive source at the graduate university level. As Founding Director of Planning and Development, Yavapai County Education Service Agency, Dr. Michaels took the organization from design to implementation creating statewide collaborative partnerships. As Founding Director of the Sedona Center for Arts and Technology, Yavapai College, Dr. Michaels created the line of sight from vision to outcome through the creation of a strong public/private partnership. She provided effective operational management including negotiation of intergovernmental agreements. Additionally, she has provided strategic planning services to multiple non- profit organizations locally, nationally and internationally including KIDS VOTING, The Marilyn Sunderman Foundation, Payson Regional Economic Development Corporation, CyberMDx and the Colombian Children’s Education Foundation. Dr. Michaels served as an officer on Yavapai College Board during a strategic planning process which resulted in redefinition of the mission and a new strategic plan. She continues to serve on national, state, and local boards of non- profit organizations. She has provided consulting services that includes ADE and Arizona Risk Retention (The TRUST) trained and approved Hearing Officer services in matters of student discipline and personnel across the state of Arizona. Her life-long love for horses continues on her Apple Creek Ranch where she both rides and hauls from to enjoy the pristine landscape of Arizona for nearly 3 decades..
