Brooke St. George

Tempe City Council

Brooke St. George was born and raised in Tempe and is a former Tempe City Council

Assistant and campaign organizer with a commitment to electing pro‑choice women who will protect and expand reproductive freedom at the state level. Her experience working inside City Hall showed her how local decisions directly shape people’s lives and how urgently Tempe needs leaders who listen, follow through, and support Tempe’s residents.

Brooke grew up in Tempe’s public schools and community programs before earning a journalism degree and starting her professional life in Los Angeles, working in corporate communications and organizing with progressive movements like Young Progressive Majority.

After traveling internationally and learning from diverse communities, Brooke returned home to Tempe to raise her son, care for aging parents, start a small business, and immerse herself in volunteerism, community organizing, and supporting Democratic candidates. She has lived nearly every perspective in Tempe: student, parent, renter, caregiver, micro‑business owner, volunteer, and City employee. These experiences shape her commitment to building a Tempe where everyone can thrive and that includes a Tempe where women’s rights are protected, families are supported, and every resident can live with dignity and autonomy.
