Jackie Thrasher

Jackie Thrasher was elected to Arizona House of Representative for District 10 in 2007. At this time she was awarded the Legislative Partner Award from the Arizona Business and Education Coalition. Thrasher received her Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, and went on to teach in the Phoenix area.

How Jackie has Helped Arizona

As a state legislator, Jackie Thrasher supported better pay for teachers and protected neighborhoods by cracking down on graffiti and gang activity. She co-sponsored the Teen Driver Safety Act, which decreased accident rates among teenage drivers. She also fought for tougher penalties for DUI offenders and protected workers by creating a safer environment at the State Hospital and the School for the Deaf and Blind.
