Arizona List Women Run. Women Win.
Our 2026 Primary Election Results
July 31st, 2026

The 2026 Primary Election marked an exciting milestone for Arizona List candidates across the state. Congratulations to every candidate who ran, every volunteer who knocked doors, every intern who gave their time, and every supporter who helped make these wins possible. We are so proud to continue supporting our candidates as they head into the General Election and celebrate those who have already been elected to local office!
Statewide Winners
Arizona voters made their voices heard in the race for Superintendent of Public Instruction, and we’re thrilled to congratulate Dr. Teresa “Terry” Leyba Ruiz on an incredible primary victory! Terry earned nearly 80% of the vote, showing just how much support there is for a lifelong educator who is ready to put Arizona’s students first. We can’t wait to keep supporting her all the way to November.

Legislative & Local Candidates Advancing to November
Every candidate brings something unique to the table, with backgrounds and experiences that reflect the communities they hope to serve. From educators to social workers and environmental advocates, and even one of the youngest candidates running for the Arizona Legislature, this amazing group represents the strength and diversity of women leaders across the state.
Dr. Amelia Gallitano is a doctor, scientist, professor, and mother who has dedicated her career to expanding healthcare and medical education in Arizona. Lisbeth Arescureñaga brings years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, advocating for stronger mental health resources and healthier communities. Sen. Lauren Kuby and Councilmember Solange Whitehead continue to champion climate action and environmental sustainability. Betsy Muñoz is helping lead the next generation of women in public office as one of the youngest legislative candidates on the ballot!
Together, these candidates are running to strengthen public education, protect reproductive freedom, expand access to healthcare and mental health services, and ensure communities across Arizona have a voice at the Capitol. Even in the most rural communities, Arizona List women are stepping up to lead with a fierce commitment to serving the people they represent.

Municipal Winners
Some of our candidates have already crossed the finish line! Congratulations to our newly elected municipal leaders who are ready to get to work serving their communities.
