Running for Osborn School District Governing Board

Erica Switalla is a dedicated educator, special education leader, and proud parent with over 11 years of experience serving Arizona public schools. As a first-generation college graduate, she earned her degree from Arizona State University, holding dual certification in General Education and Special Education. Erica spent nine impactful years teaching in the Osborn School District before transitioning to her current role as an Assistive Technology and Quality IEP Teacher in the Madison Elementary School District. There, she partners with educators to support inclusive practices and access to learning.

An active Osborn community member since 2011, Erica is deeply invested in local public schools. She served four years as Co-President of the Osborn Education Association, passionately advocating for students, staff, and public education. She is the mother of two daughters, both participating in the Osborn School District’s dual language program. If elected to the Osborn Elementary School District Governing Board, Erica will make certain every student accesses a high-quality education that meets their individual learning needs. She is committed to strengthening academic achievement, elevating teacher and staff voices, and ensuring every child is safe and valued. Erica will serve the community with integrity, collaboration, transparency, and accountability to build strong schools.
