Running for Phoenix Elementary School Board
Caitlin Millat is an Associate Professor at ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where she teaches Constitutional Law, Civil Procedure, and Family Law. Her work explores the intersections of education, family, democracy, and public governance, with a particular focus on how legal institutions shape educational opportunity and democratic participation.
Before joining ASU in 2023, Caitlin was a Climenko Fellow and lecturer at Harvard Law School. She earned her J.D. from NYU and also holds a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelors in Journalism. Prior to her law career, Caitlin was an early elementary teacher and worked as a school administrator.
Caitlin is running for Phoenix Elementary to protect and strengthen public education, bringing her experience as an educator, school leader, law professor, and parent. She has firsthand experience with the challenges facing public school families and her priorities include preventing unnecessary school closures, keeping funding in the classrooms, and ensuring equitable resources for all students.
