Running for Amphitheater School District Governing Board
With 30 years of experience in public education, Nina brings a lifelong commitment to students, teachers, and her community to Amphitheater School District. She has three decades in education which has given her firsthand knowledge of the evolving needs of today’s students and the challenges facing Arizona public schools.
Her campaign platform, “Students First. Strong Teachers. Smart Spending”, reflects her belief that strong public schools are the foundation of strong communities and a healthy democracy. She is running to advocate for transparent communication, strategic budgeting, and proactive planning to address the declining enrollment and teacher shortages she has seen during her career.
As an educator, Nina has served as Math Department Chair, Treasurer of the Amphitheater Education Association and participated in the district’s Meet and Confer negotiations process, helping determine staff working conditions, compensation, and benefits.
She was awarded Teacher of the Year at Academy of Math and Science and a Circle K High School Teacher of the Year finalist.
Committed to ensuring all stakeholders have a voice in district decisions, she began her campaign by listening directly to constituents throughout the Amphitheater district and remains focused on being an accessible, community-driven representative on the governing board.
