Running for Gadsden Elementary School Board

Maria G. Guzman Ramirez is an educator, student services professional, and community advocate who is passionate about supporting students and strengthening educational opportunities in her community. With more than 15 years of experience in higher education, she currently serves as an Advising and Student Services Coordinator at Arizona Western College, where she works closely with students to develop academic plans, monitor their progress, and connect them with resources that support their success. She also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching American Politics, bringing practical knowledge and engaging learning experiences into the classroom.

Maria holds a Master of Administration with an emphasis in Public Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has extensive experience working with diverse communities, building partnerships, and helping students and families navigate educational pathways.

Maria is also the proud mother of a seven-year-old son who is currently in first grade. As a parent, she understands how important it is for schools to provide safe learning environments and the resources students need to succeed. She is motivated to serve on the school board to advocate for safe schools, strong support for teachers and school staff, and greater collaboration with families—working together for the success of all children.
