There’s an important election happening in Arizona right now, and chances are you’ve never heard of it or don’t know how it works.
The Salt River Project (SRP) election decides who helps oversee one of the largest public power and water utilities in Arizona. These decisions impact energy policy, water use, and our climate future.
The problem? The process is confusing and turnout is usually extremely low.
Thankfully, Senator Analise Ortiz broke it down perfectly.

Now that you know what’s at stake, here’s the important part.
There are candidates running who support responsible water and energy policies, and others backed by Turning Point who want to move SRP in a very different direction.
Be an environmental hero 🌎
Support the Arizona List candidates working to protect Arizona’s water, energy future, and public utilities.
Your support helps them reach voters and win these low-turnout races where every vote matters.

Many eligible voters do not realize they qualify, and many don’t realize they must specifically request their SRP ballot.
Key deadlines:
• March 9 at 11:59 PM — Deadline to register to vote in Arizona (has passed)
• March 27 at 5 PM — Deadline to request an SRP ballot
• March 11 — Early ballots begin mailing
• April 7 — Election Day (ballots must be received by 7 PM)
Being on your County early voting list does not automatically place you on the SRP early voting list. Many voters must request their SRP ballot separately at srp.net/elections.
If you want transparent, community-focused leadership at SRP, we encourage you to support our Arizona List endorsed candidates:
