Running for LD19 State House.
Jackie O’Donnell Anderson came out of retirement to run for the Arizona State Legislature in Legislative District 19. She has been a resident of southeastern Pima County since 1995, moving here to be closer to her mother in Green Valley. She lives in a rural community and raised her daughter there, along with their dogs, cats, horses, mules, and chickens.
With 42 years of experience as an Emergency Department RN, including 19 years at a critical access hospital in Arizona, Jackie is deeply committed to serving her community. She is running for office because Arizonans deserve better and she wants to be the voice for the LD19 voters. Her values reflect her capacity for empathy and her vision for humanity. She envisions a better Arizona for all, where everyone can achieve the life they dream of for themselves and their families. Justice, truth, and peace for all.
As she embarks on her campaign, Jackie will focus on healthcare and public education. She is deeply concerned about the access and affordability of healthcare, especially with the upcoming Medicaid/AHCCCS cuts in 2026, which threaten the services of the very critical access hospitals she served in District 19. Additionally, she will focus on ensuring accountability in the AZ Voucher system, making sure our tax dollars are truly benefiting our children’s education.
