Naomi De La Rosa

22nd Annual Event Rising Star

Naomi De La Rosa Arellano was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, growing up in the South Tucson community. She attended Pueblo High School, where she graduated in the top 25 of her class. In 2018, Naomi began her academic journey at the University of Arizona, where she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a Bilingual Elementary Educator. In 2022, she graduated as the Outstanding Senior of her program and was honored as the top senior of her graduating class, delivering a speech at convocation.

A first-generation American, first-generation college graduate, and proud Latina, Naomi is deeply committed to giving back to the community that helped shape her. She aspires to become a Licensed Master Social Worker, with a focus on advocacy, equity, and community-centered service.

Outside of her academic and professional work, Naomi is actively involved in her community. She volunteers and teaches at her former schools, serves with The Lapan Sunshine Foundation, participates in educational panels, and canvasses for local leaders—a growing passion that reflects her dedication to civic engagement. Naomi is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work while working alongside Stephanie Stahl Hamilton, the City of South Tucson, and continuing to volunteer wherever she is needed. She remains driven by service and is committed to creating meaningful, lasting change in her community.
