Clara Pratte

Running for Arizona Corporation Commission.

Clara Pratte has built her life around service, entrepreneurship, and fighting for communities too often left behind. A proud member of the Navajo Nation, Clara grew up in Lupton, Arizona, where her family lived without electricity or running water until she was in middle school. That experience gave her a personal understanding of how essential reliable, affordable utilities are to survival and opportunity.

For more than 20 years, Clara has championed small businesses and tribal communities at the highest levels of government. She served under three U.S. Presidents and four Navajo Nation Presidents, held senior roles at the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Department of Commerce, and advised President Biden during the start of his administration.

Today, Clara is a small business owner and co-founder of Navajo Power, a clean-energy company that develops solar projects for Indigenous communities. She also leads projects focused on economic development, community engagement, and renewable energy across the country. Clara is running for the Arizona Corporation Commission to lower costs for families, restore accountability, and ensure Arizona leads in clean, affordable energy. She lives in Flagstaff with her husband and their two young sons, committed to building a brighter energy future for all.
