Fall 2025 Intern
Bio: Hi! I’m Alexis, a junior at the University of Arizona majoring in Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Psychology. I’m passionate about immigration rights and hope to become an immigration lawyer. I’ve had the opportunity to transcribe stories from people held in detention centers, and hearing their experiences gave me the drive to pursue this path. Over the summer, I conducted research on public opinion toward immigration through a politics lab, and I also supported local democracy by working at the Mohave County Recorder’s Office. In my free time, I enjoy going to the theater, painting, and reading.
