Susan Benjamin has spent her career of 31 years in public education, as a teacher, principal and the Director of Special Education. She is the proud mother of 2 sons and grandmother of 2 granddaughters. She knows the best outcome for our students requires highly qualified teachers, a commitment to the needs of each child and strong ties to families and community. She believes that each child should have the opportunity to reach his or her potential and has worked diligently with that goal in mind in her first term on the Phoenix Elementary Governing Board. Her knowledge and experience makes her a unique candidate for re-election. She has lived in Phoenix for 37 years, has deep roots in her community and continues her focus of support by mentoring an at risk student.
