A first-term State Representative and native Arizonan, Kelli Butler has deep roots in their North Central Phoenix community. As a small business owner, in partnership with her husband Ben, Kelli has brought her years of experience navigating changing economic and regulatory environments to the legislature. As a mother and long-time volunteer at her children’s public schools, Kelli has dedicated herself to making her community a better place for children and families.
As a state representative, Kelli fights for public education and educational and economic opportunity for all. During the 2017 session she worked to provide a 4% raise for teachers across the state, and to give dental care to pregnant women on AHCCCS.
Kelli believes that in order for Arizona to remain competitive and attract new business, it is imperative that funding be responsibly restored to public education, from pre-K through college. Kelli is also focused on investment in the crucial infrastructure projects and maintenance that have been neglected since the economic downturn, and restoring funds and oversight to the Department of Child Safety
