Felicia is a third generation Arizona with a proven commitment to public service. She is a combat veteran, nurse, and teacher with over 32 years of experience. Now she’s ready use her experience and commitment in the Arizona State House representing Legislative District 6.
Felicia served in the United States Army for 32 years as a helicopter pilot and medic, raising to the rank of Colonel. During her military career she built leadership skills during several tours in Afghanistan and humanitarian missions to Honduras and the Dominican Republic. She also received training in Alternative Dispute Resolution techniques and in mediation, making her a strong bipartisan candidate.
After her time in the Army Felicia began mentoring at-risk youth and eventually started teaching. She is now teaching at Mesa Community College and case managing as a hospice nurse in rural Arizona. She shows commitment to her community through her volunteer work and won “Volunteer of the Year” in 2016 for her work with Take Pride Pine & Strawberry Project. She also volunteers with the local Civil Air Patrol, Tonto Rim Search and Rescue, Community Emergency Response Team, and the Sierra Club.
Once elected Felicia will use her knowledge of the military, health care, and education to serve the people of LD 6. She will be an advocate for veterans and will work to ensure affordable accessible quality healthcare for all. She is committed to improving Arizona’s education system, starting with early-education, and to creating sustainable jobs.
