Third generation Flagstaff native Coral Evans was first elected to the Flagstaff City Council in May 2004 and re-elected in May 2012 and now serves as Vice-Mayor of Flagstaff. In addition to being on council Coral is the Executive Director of the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association.
Presently Coral is pursuing a Ph.D. in Sustainability Education; she holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She is certified nationally in workforce development and public participation practices.
Coral is a graduate of the Flagstaff Leadership Program and the Flinn-Brown Foundations Center for Civic Leadership. She believes in a balanced approach to the stewardship of community resources and is passionate about creating opportunities that allow for civic engagement, community revitalization and genuine sustainability and advancement for Flagstaff citizens.
