Carmen Casillas was born and raised in Globe, Arizona. She served as a City of Globe Councilwoman for four years and as vice-mayor for two. She is the founder and CEO of the Domestic Violence Victims Advocate (DVVA) Response Team, which she ran for 10 years.
Carmen has a long history of community service and involvement. She is a founding member of the City of Globe’s Summer Youth Leadership Academy, a co-founding member of the Boys and Girls Club of Globe, a co-founding member of GILA House, and served on the board of Relay for Life.
Carmen has the courage to challenge the status quo. She is dedicated to bettering the lives of Arizona’s youth, elderly and disabled persons and a tireless public safety advocate.
Carmen is a proud mother of four, grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of two.
