Running for Roosevelt Elementary School Board
Victoria W. Castro-Corral is a values-driven leader and Phoenix native running for Governing Board Member with Roosevelt School District. She wants to continue championing early literacy and math skills, prioritizing family engagement, student outcome-focused governance, curricula that celebrate diversity and honor cultures, and community integration! She is an advocate and educator with over eight years of experience working with college access and success programs. Victoria is currently a College Advisor and values creating support systems in which students have the tools to achieve their goals and the freedom to challenge themselves to reach their full potential. Her deep appreciation for higher education began in 6th grade when she started earning college credits. Victoria has learned that College and Career Readiness doesn’t begin in high school but in elementary and middle school. She believes in the power of representation and considers herself an instrument to her community to promote equity, access, and inclusion in education.
