Tamara Floyd

Running for Goodyear City Council

Tamara Floyd, born in Pomona California, moved to Phoenix Arizona in 1993, where she presently resides in the city of Goodyear for the past 25 years. As the Outreach Director for the University of Arizona, Roosevelt Early Childhood Family Resource Center, she assists families with community resources, referrals and develops partnerships with community-based organizations and coalitions. Tamara represents diverse populations and is passionate about women’s rights, economic development, equal opportunity, and justice for all as she has a strong community advocacy background and continues to serve her community. Her years of active civic engagement include experience in Goodyear and in Phoenix. Her service in Goodyear includes working on the following: Leadership Enrichment and Development Program (L.E.A.D.), Community Action Network (Goodyear Police C.A.N.), Faith & Community Roundtable, Skyway Church monthly food produce Distribution Team, Legislative District 23 Precinct Committee Member, Centerra Homeowners Association – Board of Directors, and Goodyear Cares Focus Group.
