Nikki is a second-generation Arizonan, born and raised in Yavapai County. She grew up in Prescott, spent her teenage years in Chino Valley, and moved to the Verde Valley in 2008, where she has spent the last 16 years. She currently resides in Jerome with her 9-year-old son Ryan. Nikki studied agriculture at both Yavapai College and Prescott College which led to a career in the Verde Valley wine industry. She went on to become the founding director of the Southwest Wine Center at Yavapai College, and helped many people establish vineyards throughout the state through her business Arizona Vineyard Consulting. Nikki has been a long-time local leader dedicated to providing public service, fiscal accountability, and sustainable economic development. In 2011, Nikki was appointed to the Jerome Town Council and later served as Mayor of Jerome for a term of two and a half years. In 2016, she nearly won the Legislative District 6 senate seat as an Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee and Arizona List endorsed candidate. Nikki has also served on several non-profit boards and is a 2012 (class IV) Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy Fellow.
