Nicole Marquez

Running for Creighton Elementary School Board.

Nicole Marquez is running for the Creighton School District governing board to help our community flourish sustainably. Since 2020, her three children have attended one of Creightons district’s Spanish Dual Language Immersion schools, and as the founding president of the Creighton Academy PTO and an active volunteer, she’s witnessed the challenges that public school students and teachers face due to chronic underfunding. Effective public schools are essential for strong, healthy communities. As a board member, She will focus on improving student outcomes, strengthening community connections, and defending Dual Language programs for all public school students. She leads monthly advocacy meetups to grow support for Dual Language public education and has publicly opposed Superintendent Tom Horne’s unjust lawsuits against her district. In addition to founding the TCA PTO, she also spearheaded a district wide PTO initiative to bring those skills and knowledge to other district parents looking to become involved in their children’s education. She aims to represent her community’s vision and values, advocating for dual language learning, safety, and health for students no matter what walk of life they come from. She knows that, together, we can build a stronger future for our students, our families and our communities.
